She messaged me the next day to tell me that the concept we built together in our session was almost identical to a podcast idea she'd mapped out years ago.

She'd already developed segments and built out a framework for it, just never found the right home for any of it, and I hadn't known any of it going in. We got there through conversation, in real time, and landed on something she'd already been building toward.

OK, so boom. Here's happened:

We were in a session working through her written content strategy, platforms, email list structure, what the hook would be for getting people to actually want to subscribe. Somewhere in that conversation a concept emerged for what the whole thing would be built around. She was excited about it immediately and so was I, and then the next day she sent that message.

❝

"None of what she'd done before was wasted."

Everything she'd sketched out and never quite launched was still there, waiting for the right context. Now we get to bring it forward in a way that fits where she actually is now, who she's become, instead of who she was when she first had the idea.

And the momentum didn't stop there.

Her energy around her content has shifted noticeably, and it's carrying over to her team. They have a clearer sense of what they're building toward and what their roles actually are in that, so instead of sitting in strategy and planning mode, they're moving on things that actively market the brand. I saw her in her brand doc late at night dropping in new content ideas as they were coming to her.

That's what I'm here to do as a brand outfitter. I don't show up with a template. I learn how you think, what you've already been sitting on, and we build something that actually fits so that showing up for it feels like yours.

❝

"We sit down, we think together, things start to connect, and before the session is over the next move is already clear."

I'll be opening up a few spots to work with me one-on-one and sharing more details soon. Keep your eyes on your inbox.

Bonus Tip

Your Email List Is a Product

Something I told a client this week that I also do myself, so I figured I'd share it here too.

When we were talking about building her email list, I told her we're gonna position it like a product. bc that's how I treat mine. I'm not just telling people to subscribe, I'm telling them what they're getting for being on the list that I'm not putting out for everybody else: behind the scenes, tips they can use right now, things that only live here.

That's why it makes sense to be on a waitlist even before there's something to buy. Otherwise why would you sign up? Just to get updates? Come on.

So the thing I'd ask yourself if you're building a list right now is: what are people walking into? What are they getting from being in your space that they can't get from just following you?

If you don't have an answer to that yet, that's worth figuring out before you start directing people there. 😉

Love y'all, real bad 🫶🏾
